She cleans up good! It's worth the time and energy, but unfortunately you end up seeing all of the little imperfections and road damage (scratches, dents etc.).

Kinja'd!!!

Hmm, what to modify next?

I'm liking that black Chevrolet logo. Nice!

Lsx swap with a twin turbo kit and rwd. Weld on a wagon rear end too. Or get a retrofit for some xenon projectors, both would help with day to day commutes.

I say all Chevys should be sold with either black or silver logos. Or Flowtie.

Thanks, it was one of the first things I did! The bowtie is enormous and I'm not a fan of gold.

I'd do the same. The Gold isn't my favorite.

Woah there, don't you mean a twin turbo diesel and slowly turn it into a Miata? I'm thinking about some new headlights or a retrofit of some sort actually but I think I'll get some foglights first (LOOK, plastic spots for foglights, but no foglights...).

Completely agree. Next mod, creating a Flowtie!

Dat black badge yo. I love it! I have a crystal red tintcoat as well! Looks like yours is a 1LT? Great little cars!

Canada, so it's a LT with the 1SB package (basically, it's got the 1.4T with the allows and Bluetooth, USB), I think that's basically a 1LT for you guys?

I love the black bowties, though the front one is all chipped (it's a sticker, from before I discovered plastidip). I need to either plastidip it or buy a new sticker, maybe I'll go with black carbon instead of the matte black this time. I also dipped the front valance (under the license plate), which I really like too, makes the car look a little more aggressive.

Black carbon. I like that. I think that's reasonably comparable to a 1LT. They break LT in to two groups here because trim levels aren't confusing enough to non enthusiasts.

Once you do a projector retrofit you won't even notice your fog lights. Also your color is wrong, paint it brown.

I need to / dread doing / clay my 300. God, you never quite realize just how much square yardage you have in paint until you have to do something like that.

Best picture I could find:

Kinja'd!!!

I saw one on another Cruze owner's car, whom I sold my old intake to, it looks good in person. It's quite dark and very subtle pattern (generally speaking I'm pretty "anti-carbon fibre accessories", but this adds some visual interest without being obnoxious IMHO).

Absolutely! My compact car felt enormous today! Really makes me want to buy something smaller as my next car, just from a detailing standpoint alone lol.

Come to think of it, that would make an excellent argument, "Sure it's small, impractical & bad on fuel, but just think of all the time and money I'll save whilst detailing the car!"

I washed and waxed it about 2 weeks ago, and even with a buffer, it takes forever. And ever. And ever. Oh, and it's black, so it was truly pointless. 4 hours of work for the 10 minutes of payoff. Hmm, come to think of it, sounds kinda like dating!

Exactly. Doesn't have to be flashy (I prefer it isn't). Understated details are what make a car.

It does sound like dating! After rubbing her for 4 hours she didn't seem to mind that I approached from behind and put all of my tools in her trunk...

I should write an article describing my car detailing process, which when read by either car and non-car enthusiasts, could be interpreted as smut.

And yes, it is kind of depressing know that my car will likely have a thin layer of dust on it by the time I go to work tomorrow. While my car is red, the fact that it is metallic seems to show every little imperfection when I wash the car, almost as bad as a black car.

It'll pass everything gut a gas station. But I do enjoy it. It is a nice big cruiser, and it just feels the right kind of massive. Big, but still light on her feet. Really nice effortless power; you want to pass, just dip a toe in.

I did vinyl on mine. Lay a big piece over it then press the edges down into the gap around the gold before cutting off the excess with a sharp exacto. Mine got chipped as well, but it takes 10 minutes to put a new one on. A sheet of vinyl is cheap, and you can do it a few times with a couple feet of vinyl.
